IBM is currently under contract with the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) to conduct independent studies of mail delivery performance, which measure how the USPS performs from the customers point of view. The information our volunteers collect as part of these studies is used to help the USPS measure its success and to continually strive for better performance.

The purpose of this app is to provide our volunteer panelists with a mobile option for reporting for the mail study. Users will be able to report all of the necessary information such as delivery dates and mailpieces received, and use the camera on their iPhone or iPad to scan Intelligent Mail barcodes. It provides all of the reporting capabilities of the www.reportez.com web site without the need for an additional barcode scanner accessory.
